September Fun

At the end of last month we adopted a 15 month old black Lab. We named her Molly. She was loved before by a family with 4 boys in Springville. They needed to move to Canada and could not take her. She and I started Dog Training and she has been doing great. She is very fun. Loves to put eveything in her mouth, which I have learned is a Lab thing. She is great with the kids-Ethan climbs all over her and she does not mind at all. The first few weeks we had her she had her moments of escaping from her collar and exploring the area with either Brandon or I running behind her. Both times she thought it was fun game of chase but eventually would come to us. She has gotten better at this and so have we at making sure the collar is tight.

Labor day weekend we had my cousins staying with us for the weekend. On Labor day we went to the Zoo with all the kids and my friend Cori. We had a blast seeing all the animals and their personalities.
Ethan got excited to see each animal. He would point and start to sequel. He really loved seeing the Elephants since his Lovely Tantor is an Elephant.

Last Tuesday Annie had her first day of dance class. They will do Jazz, Tap and Ballet. She was so excited to go. She picked out her Leotard (which why are they so high cut where there is not a single pair of kids undies that are) and her shoes. She reminded me today that we still need to get her a skirt since she thinks "they are so beautiful". When
I asked Annie to tell me something about her class she said "It was great and I loveded (her words) it. We turned around and did this". She then shows me a dance.
She is second from the last on the left

Yesterday we took part in the Down's Syndrome Buddy Walk in Salk Lake city. We had a fun time playing the games, bouncing in the bounce house and ridding the train.
The big event was that we got to see Rachel Colman from Signing Time(http://www.signingtime.com/) perform with Lea and Hopkins. This is a show we have loved watching since Annie was little. The last two years they have not been on PBS and we have not been able to buy the DVD's however we have some of the music on CD and Annie loves singing along. We were happy to hear it will be returning to TV this fall here in Utah. The Colman family live here in Utah so unlike here other shows we got the treat of seeing her whole family.

Ethan was very into the show trying to do the signs along with Rachel. It was cute watching him. He only knows a few signs but we are going to change that now that the show will be back on.
Since we were walking with Team Signing Time we got to see Rachel after the show for some hugs and photos.
