There are two things right now that Annie is very into-Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Thomas the Thank Engine. Every Memorial Weekend, Thomas comes to Heber. They have a carnival with activities centered around Thomas, and also a real engine that pulls the train. We got our tickets a few months ago and were looking forward to the day with Thomas. The whole way to Heber Annie talked about Thomas. She brought a book about him to "read to Thomas".
The train ride was perfect-about 30 minutes long. They went south on the track 15 minutes and then went back. About the time we headed back to the station was when she was ready to get off. She thought it was so cool to be on Thomas and going for a ride.
We also got to see Sir Topham Hat. At the Thomas store we let her pick an item out-she really wanted a Thomas backpack. They also had motor cars that ran around the tracks, a petting zoo and bubble fun. She was so happy and would not stop talking about it all the way home.
