Last night we took Annie to a Big Sister Class at the Orem Hospital. She has a blast. There were just three other kids in the class both Mom's about ready to give birth. Our nurse was great with the kids. She first show them pictures of what the baby looks like right now in Mommy's tummy, then when they are new born. Next they learned about how to wash your hands, sit down and hold a baby. Annie was very good-she had her arm under the head/neck the whole time. Next they learned about some of the things we will need at home to help care for the baby. Last they were given "doctor clothes" for a trip to the Labor and Delievery area. There were no babies in the nursery-they were all with their Mommy's. We did go into a delivery room so they could get familiar with what will be happening. Last they were given a baby bottle full of gummy bears for a snack and a coloring book. I think Annie will be a great big sister and helper.

What a great idea. I wish they had some sort of class like this.
