Happy Easter!

This Easter was very fun. Annie understood it so much better then last year. She knew how to find eggs, color eggs, all about the Easter Bunny and of course the real reason of Easter too. The week leading up to Easter started out with a egg hunt at her toddler class at the rec. center. There her candy stash started. The day before Easter we went to ward egg hunt-more candy. What is with these candy holidays?

Saturday after nap we colored eggs. She loved the magic crayon. She would draw on an egg and loved seeing what would happen in the dye. She also loved putting stickers on the eggs. That night we talked about the Easter Bunny. We talked about how there are many Easter Bunnies out there and they bring treats and toys to the house as well as hide the eggs. When the Easter Bunny would come to my house as a child, my Dad would let him in. The next day we loved hearing what he looked like that year. We decided that this was something fun Brandon could do as well. After all, unlike Santa the Easter Bunny cannot come down the chimney. Before bed we left out a small plate of carrots and dressing for the bunny.

She was very excited to see what the bunny brought. This year the bunny was gray. He had a vest with palm trees, and wore a Dodger hat. Brandon learned that the bunny came all the way from California and had dropped things off at Annie's grandparents and cousin's houses in Oceanside that morning too. She thought that was fun.

Next it was time to find some eggs. One egg was hidden on the ceiling fan. When Brandon showed her where it was she said "Wow, the Easter Bunny much taller then me".

Next it was time for church! Cori bought her Easter dress again this year, a very cute sun dress with purple flowers. She loved it. Don't worry-we had a jacket for her too.

After a nap it was time to go to Grandma and Bompa's for more egg hunting. By this time she was a pro and knew just where to look and what to do.
