First Steps for Ethan

Earlier this week Ethan took his first real steps. He was working on it the week before but it was usually short distances and he would start laughing about it so hard it looked like a drunk baby trying to walk. It was pretty fun to watch him. I was wondering if he would walk as soon as Annie had (10 months) and he hit it by one day! He took his first steps on Thursday and was 11 months on Friday. He no longer walks like a drunk baby and is walking more and more each day. Another thing that he does is point-he is a big pointer. He points and makes noises at almost everything he sees. While pointing he makes cute grunts and sequels. I think I have also mentioned how he is climber. A few weeks ago we found him in the bathroom on the our "big" stool all proud on himself. So now we are careful to close the door. Each morning as I do my hair I can count on him being there watching me.
He also loves to be outside and we love him being out there too as long as he is not eating the dirt or rocks. It's so different to have a baby who puts everything in his mouth. We really have to watch things. On the plus side out floor is much cleaner since we have to sweep several times a day-now we just need to get Annie to understand why it's important not to leave crayons on the floor or paper......
Thae last thing Ethan has gotten into lately is Tantor. This is his Elephant who for anyone who knows Annie-is loved almost as much as her Gege is. He now sleeps with him and is holding him waiting for us to get him out of bed each morning as well. Tantor is also from Build a Bear and we are thinking that we need to get a second one to have in reserve since that really saved us with Annie who now loves the 2nd Gege but had no clue. Thankful we wash her enough that its not the smell that she is hooked to so all we had to do was put the clothes the old Gege was wearing on the new one. What is funny is that the old one is still around and she calls her Gege too but never sleeps with her unless the "real" Gege is in the wash or something. Hopefully if we get to that with Ethan it will be as easy.
