It's been crazy at the Elmer house these last few weeks. A few things with Annie-first she has her own room now! She took over Brandon's car room/our office this last week. It became apparent to us that she needed her own space when she would wake Ethan when she went to bed or woke up in the morning or would talk to him and keep him from falling asleep. Also there was just to much stuff in their room. So we let her pick the theme of her room-princess, and then paint colors-yellow and pink. Big change from the cars that used to cover the walls. Last weekend we painted and moved her stuff in and it's a great improvement. Next month we will change her old purple room to be the jungle room for Ethan.
In other Annie news-she will be having an operation next Tuesday (the 16th) to get tubes put in her ears. When taking her a few weeks ago for her 3rd double ear infection this winter her doctor suggested talking to an ENT. Looking back at her history she gets at least 3 infections every winter and in both ears each time. The ENT felt that she should be growing out of it by now, but since she has not it would be good to put tubes in to help her get through the rest of these cold months. Today we go to the American Fork Hospital for a "Pre Op Hop" they do for kids. They give them a tour of the surgery area and also let them play doctor on some toys. We will not be with her when they put her to sleep, so pretty sure I will cry as they take her back but it will be ok! She is also going to meet with a speech pathologist for some articulation tests this Friday. There are some things she says in very interesting ways-so we are going to see if that is a normal 3 year old thing or what!
