Yard Clean Up Time

Saturday afternoon/evening my family along with a friend of Ben's, came to help with our yard makeover. Our house sits on about a third of an acer, and we have a nice sized backyard. Since moving in two years ago tons has happened (mainly having a baby!) so we have never spend the time in the yard like we wanted. Well that is changing this year! We have several projects going on, so here are some pictures from Saturday showing you those projects.

Meme's job was to keep Bob happy-lol. She was also guarding the pansies that would later (this week) be planted around our fountain.

Sierra had several jobs, during this picture her job was to pick up any little kid's toys that we found in the weeds and grass. After two years we are still finding the last owners kid's stuff. Later her job was watching Annie.

Brandon and my Dad were clearing tree trimmings, and other things that could be burned. My Dad took them back to his house to add to the burn pile. Later Brandon also took our dead bamboo that we had around the yard and other things like that.

Ben and his friend Kristian first aerated the backyard, then removed a stump then took on the shed.

Sam also took to the shed. This shed has been moldy since the day we moved in and we have been slowly taking it down. We now have the roof off and the real demo started. Sam was having a great time with the ax.

Afterwards Sierra visited the geese. This one she says was her friend. It was cute.

Don't worry-I too worked! I helped my Mom remove weeds from the flower bed that will have our fountain, pansies and ires. There is still tons to do but we were so greatful for the help and the fun.
